Welcome to Sunnydale California!

In many aspects Sunndale is like any other southern Californian town. It has its nightclub, school, businesses, homes, people, and vampires. Oops! Did I say vampires? Well, I guess your typical town doesn't have them, but Sunnydale is situated directly above the Hell Mouth, so I guess it is the exception to the rule. There always has to be one, you know.

But this town isn't entirely hopeless:

Buffy Summers is much like your normal teenager. She has mom problems, boy problems, school problems, and the occasional vampire problem. Okay, so maybe she's not that normal. Buffy is the one girl in all the world that has the strength, skill, and ability to find, corner, and kill vampires. She is the Slayer.
With the help from the libraryian, Giles, who is the Watcher, and from her friends Xander and Willow, she will rid Sunnydale and the world of the horrors that live under your bed and inside of your closets.

(This is the close-to-as-real-as-I-can-get population number. My counter got a bit screwed up a little while ago and I'm just getting it back on track now.
